Working with their designer in the selection of materials, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, flooring, etc. was enjoyable and stress free. The onsite project manager worked diligently in responding to our questions providing timely updates. The quality of the workmanship met our expectations. IDB renovated my kitchen. It was a great process all around. I had a general idea of what I wanted, but working with the Tiffany, the designer, was a big help in clarifying my choices and options. The work was done over the summer while I was out of town. I was kept apprised of developments throughout the process and snags were resolved quickly and satisfactorily. The finished product exceeded my expectations. The first time my housekeeper cleaned the kitchen she remarked on how seamlessly all the parts of the new kitchen fit together--and she's seen a lot of kitchens! I chose a complicated stone for the countertop--it was beautifully installed so that different parts of the counter appeared to flow into each other--the result was more like a work of art than a mere countertop. The renovation also made the kitchen more accessible and functional. So it was not only beautiful but practical. The staff of the company were invariably pleasant and easy to work with. When I returned home the apartment was perfectly cleaned--I noticed the other day that even the floor of the sliding glass doors had been cleaned. Very happy camper.
I have used Brian and Rick since the beginning of their company. They are now working on stage 3 of our renovations and have always exceeded our expectations, responded to questions in a timely manner and best of all, worked with us to stay within our budget. They are truly a shining example of what contractors SHOULD be.
The team worked almost every day over 5 months and cared that I was happy with the work. I started with a more limited scope of work and expanded during the construction period, and they were very responsive to the requested changes. My experience was very favorable compared to friends who had their contract drawn out.
One-stop shop for all renovation needs with both design and construction elements working in tandem. This began with the initial walk through to discuss the project and continued through final punch list items. The project involved a complete renovation of the kitchen, master bath, and guest bath within a mid-rise condominium building as well as other electrical, drywall and painting projects throughout the apartment. Tiffany (designer) really listened to what I wanted and proposed designs consistent with my modern style aesthetic. Brian (construction) proposed creative solutions when we ran into building infrastructure issues. And Nick (project manager) kept the project moving along and on schedule while proactively managing issues as those arose. The final work product is very high quality, and I am beyond thrilled with the results. Not the cheapest contractor you can hire but if you are looking for both design and construction assistance, IDB is an excellent solution which I would highly recommend.
